jan 26-05.jpgThe past five days have flown by and Angie's visit with us is over. We were up early because even though Angie was scheduled to leave at 1:00 PM, she wanted to take an earlier flight if possible. Angie is an RN in the emergency department at Toronto Western Hospital and she is also an on-call nurse at Soldier's Memorial Hospital in Orillia. She is scheduled to be back for a shift in Toronto tomorrow night and she is on-call this evening in Orillia so the earlier she gets back, the better it is for her. As luck would have it, the noon flight was wide open so Angie was able to get on it and Bill was meeting her at the airport at 7:30 PM.

It is difficult to get together with our kids when we are in BC and on the move with no permanent home and with the four of them living in Ontario, this five-day visit was nice for all of us here. For Christmas, we offered the kids flights to BC so they could see Karley and Ian and meet their new nephew and with the exception of Jamie whose job schedule is difficult to work around (he is a pilot with Bearskin Airlines), we will get to see all of them. Though he missed Makai, Jay was here in December and Bill and Laura are coming out at the end of February.

Wouldn't you know it, as soon as we said our goodbyes the sun came out and the mercury rose to 15C. Angie missed the warmest temperature that we've had in weeks, however the weather proved to be a lot better than predicted so I think she had a good time. In the five days that she was here, we have seen evidence of spring flowers poking up through the ground and buds ready to open on the trees, indicative of spring being just around the corner. Oh well, at least we were able to get outside more than we expected and the time we did spend together was good, quality time. Let's hope when our next offspring gets here, our luck with the weather continues.
