Last night I kept waking up after having crazy dreams about not finding any Internet access. I love writing about our journeys and sharing with all of you our experiences and my ramblings. After keeping a daily online journal, I can see by the numbers that our site has a following and I don't want to lose that, hence I was really distressed.

Today, we ventured into Campbell River to see if we could find a place where I can get online using my laptop, not someone else's computer. There are a couple of Internet cafés in town but my understanding of them is that you must use their computers. Because I write my journal daily in my word-processor and load my pictures onto my computer, it would be so much easier for me to simply plug someone else's cable into my machine.

We stopped at Pier Street Computers at the edge of town and we spoke with John, the owner, to see if he knew where I could get the help I needed. He immediately offered his cable for me to use with my computer and I can get online right there in his store. He has kindly made this service available to us whenever we need it for the next four weeks for a very nominal fee. So I have found access to the net but I will only get on every two or three days for the next month or so but at least I now have some peace of mind.
