oct 17-07.jpgNever being people who sit still for long, Rick and I have been very busy since we decided to “park” ourselves and go back to a “stix and brix” lifestyle. We are almost fully settled; once our closet organizer is in place at the end of the month and our window coverings installed in mid-November we will have our home in order.

Rick has started working with Dan, the current owner of our new business, AllCare; a complete car care center, with a large repeat clientele, on a very busy street with high exposure in Coquitlam and located only 10 minutes from the condo. I will be the bookkeeper/administrator and soon we will be joined there by Laura and Bill, who are moving here at the end of December.

I have also started working in another business which is right up my alley and will bring in another stream of income. I am an eNerd working as a self-employed computer technician but with the support of an international team known as Nerds on Site. As part of my job, I am now driving a red Volkswagen Beetle which will soon be decorated with black dots (because I am a lady after all) and all the Nerds on Site lettering (a moving billboard). The Vancouver/Lower Mainland team are a terrific group and I know without a doubt I will learn a lot from them.

And so though we are busy we are really enjoying our new home, our new businesses and our new lifestyle. I took this photograph on Monday morning. We have had rain off and on since then but the morning sky beforehand was beautiful!
