The weather here is warmer than it is in Simcoe County, but it is still winter. We had a light dusting of snow overnight and today we decided to stay here at the RV to read, write, watch TV and get caught up on our laundry. We are leaving Rising Sun in the morning and heading north to the Travel Supreme factory in Wakarusa. There, we can hook up to power and water but will need to use a dumping station (at the factory) every couple of days to empty our waste tanks. We have an appointment at the factory to have some warranty work done on the RV. Initially, we had this appointment booked in November, but with the process of selling the house we postponed it to December, then again to January. Exploring the area daily will be a necessity as the factory takes our motorhome into the shop to work on it and we are effectively "homeless" for seven hours each day.

Because we are heading north, we are expecting to deal with some of the colder weather that has been experienced by our friends and family in Ontario. Even though we are away, we still watch the Barrie TV station everyday just to see what we are missing. (Old habits die hard I guess!)

Before we leave, Rick has to climb up on the roof to de-ice the Internet satellite dish so that it can be safely stowed. He has already hooked the car onto the back of the motorhome so we can get up and pull out fairly early. The driving distance is just over 400 kilometres and will take us about five and a half hours to get there. It's been a quiet day but enjoyable and restful.
