A Do Nothing Day PDF Print E-mail

Today was a do nothing day...meaning we went nowhere, saw nothing, did nothing. Everyone needs a day like that occasionally and today was our day. The weather here has not been great since we arrived; with below normal temperatures and intermittent rain and besides, the NASCAR race was on so we decided to be lazy and stay in.

When it rains, because our satellite dish is under a dome, the water disperses the signal and we have to use either an antenna or cable (if it's available) when we want to watch TV. Fortunately we have cable here so we are able to watch the race and the hockey game so Rick is able to stay up to date with how the Toronto Maple Leafs are doing. The news here is predominantly about the war and the election, peppered with local stuff so we get no Canadian news and we are feeling a little out of touch with our loved ones in Ontario.

Despite the weather, we still really like it here and in two more weeks we'll be in Vancouver, so we can afford to have a do nothing day... besides the cats enjoy it when we hang around with them as you can see!
