Somehow in our sleep were we magically moved way up north to the Yukon? It is very cold here, not the most ideal weather for a motorhome convention and certainly not what we expected for California in March. Last night Laura and Rich joined us for dinner and together we watched a movie in our rig; there were no planned activities here and it was just too cold to do anything outside. Tonight the expected low is 5C (41F) and it only reached 13.8C (57F) today with mostly cloudy skies and intermittent rain.

This morning Rick and I wandered the Fairplex grounds to get acquainted with our surroundings and we found it to be massive. As I said yesterday we are surrounded by a sea of motorhomes with more pulling in all day today and there is plenty of space for more.

With the crappy weather and no planned activities, Rich and Laura loaned us two of their four bicycles and we all trekked around the Fairplex checking out the rigs and their personalized license plates. There are rigs here from every state and several provinces and there were dozens of “cute” plates requiring some creative minds. It helped us pass the time until 4:00 PM when we gathered together with some folks who chat on the RV Net.com forum. Unfortunately the weather was so cold the gathering was short lived and now we are just staying warm in the Moho until it is time to go to Rich and Laura’s for lobster pot pie. Tomorrow there is plenty going on and it is supposed to be sunny, warming things up a little. Here’s hoping the forecast is accurate!
