mar 25-07.jpgJay likes sports of all kinds, hence the reason why we watched hockey two nights in a row, something we seldom do when we are alone. Unfortunately for Rick, the NASCAR race is being broadcast on the FOX network (which we can’t get here), so golf was the sport of the day and we also caught some of the Doral tournament both yesterday and today.

This morning we drove up to Idyllwild in the mountains for breakfast and to give Jay a different view of the area. The weather was clear all day but as we expected the air was much cooler in the mountains dropping from 23°C (73°F) to 13°C (55°F), quite a difference. By the time we returned to the valley the temperature had reached 27°C (81°F) so we stopped at a local amusement park and played some miniature golf.

When we returned to the Moho, after watching Tiger Woods win the Doral, we went to the miniature golf course here at Catalina and played another round. (FYI the competition was primarily between Rick and Jay because yours truly isn’t much of a golfer.) Their match was pretty even so to determine who would pay for dinner, the men decided to finish the day with a final competition on the putting green. And so tonight we went out for dinner at Al Dente, our favourite Italian restaurant downtown. Thanks Jay for a delicious dinner!Cool
