 We arrived in Dallas last night at around 10:00 PM and we stayed in the camping area at Buddy Gregg's, reserved for customers. There was one part of our coach that they had to check before we left there for good. The service and attention we have received from this RV dealer is outstanding and all RV dealers should learn from them. They have treated us with the same care and consideration they offer someone who buys one of the $1,000,000.00+ coaches they sell. We waited in their comfortable lounge while the coach was being worked on.
It took a while for the testing to be completed so we had a late start, however we got on the road shortly after 2:00, choosing to take Highway 180 towards El Paso, Texas. Highway 180 is a secondary road taking us through the Texan countryside allowing us to avoid the freeways. It is a great highway, smooth, often four lanes with wonderful scenery and little traffic. It is a warm, humid day with the temperature hovering around 25C (77F) so it has been a very comfortable drive. Of course, the closer west we get, the longer the daylight, which is really nice.
 Tonight we got just past a small town, Breckinridge, Texas where we found Bridgeview RV Park, a roadside RV park to stay in for the night, overlooking Hubbard Creek Reservoir, a popular fishing area. Apparently it is crappie season here and people come from miles around to try their luck. It's a great overnight park, one we are fortunate to have found, as it is not marked in any book we have. (I cannot find a webpage for it either!) We are going to avoid the freeways whenever possible and no doubt, will find several of these types of parks on our journey westward.
